I'm sure she would, but since the stroke she gets a bit confused and has trouble finding the right words.
Thankfully, one her occupational therapy team came by to ask whether the carers were meeing our needs and if any adjustments were necessary so I was able to talk to her. She was very understanding and will be passing on what I explained to her to the carers, so hopefully they'll be more understanding in future. It's not right to be made to feel like an outsider in one's own home, like I was the one at fault.
