Haha, the line about the sheep reminds me. One morning, when I was sixteen or seventeen, our school bus suddenly had to stop on the road just outside San Lucas because of a huge herd of sheep. We ended up getting to school late. Those sheep had never been there before, and they were never there again. The whole Central Coast area is heavy agricultural/ranching territory, but I'd never heard of anyone in the area having sheep!
