“It’s supposed to be haunted,” Dee commented, shuddering as he read from the guidebook. “Two ghostly boys holding hands, the headless spectre of Anne Boleyn, ghostly lights in the chapel, a woman dressed in white, ghost horses with red eyes, and get this, a haunted suit of armour! You sure you wanna go in there?” He looked uncertainly up at the Tower of London, beginning to regret letting his lover plan their sightseeing.


“They’re just old legends, Dee; ghosts aren’t real.”


“So you keep tellin’ me but that’s only ‘cause you’ve never seen one. I have.”


Ryo shrugged, unconcerned. “You only think you have. Honestly Dee, you just let your imagination run away with you.”


“Just sayin’, I wouldn’t want to be stuck in there alone after dark.”


“No need to worry about that; it’s closed at night. The only way you’d be in there after dark would be if you wandered away from the tour party and got yourself locked in. If you don’t want to come inside with me I’ll go alone.”


Dee hesitated, clearly torn. “No, I’ll come with ya. Someone’s gotta protect ya if you’re not gonna take this stuff seriously.”


Ryo smiled. “My brave hero.”
