Dee’s hopes have been dashed so many times that when Ryo finally says ‘yes’ to his advances instead of a resounding ‘no’, for several heartbeats he thinks he must be having a really wonderful dream. Either that, or he’s hearing things; wouldn’t be the first time he’s heard what he wanted to hear instead of what was actually said.


Incurable optimist, that’s him, always hopeful that someday Ryo might decide he wants what’s being freely offered instead of determinedly denying the truth about himself.


Hurriedly replaying their conversation in his head, Dee checks again, just to be certain, and hallelujah the answer is still yes! Later it might turn out that he was only dreaming, but right now he doesn’t care because Ryo is warm and willing in his arms, kissing back without reserve, and Dee feels like everything is finally clicking into place. If this is real then dreams can come true!


As desperate as he’s been for this moment to finally arrive, he knows he can’t afford to rush things; this is Ryo’s first time with a man and if Dee doesn’t want to scare him off he’ll have to go slow and careful, no matter how much his body might urge him to hurry up and claim his prize. He wants to make this experience as good for the man he loves as he knows it will be for him, so that after tonight Ryo will have no more doubts and will willingly, eagerly return to his bed again and again.


He undresses his lover slowly, kissing every inch of smooth skin as it’s revealed, lavishing attention even more thoroughly than he had on their aborted test-drive so many months ago. It’s no chore; Ryo has a body well worth worshipping. The way he responds to every kiss and caress drives Dee wild, but he keeps himself under tight control; he’ll get what he needs soon, he just has to be patient until Ryo is ready for him.


Passion and desire build steadily, and Dee holds back for as long as he can, using all his skills to bring Ryo to the heights of pleasure, until neither of them can wait a second longer and they’re swept to ecstasy together.


Afterwards, holding his baby close, Dee feels sated and complete. He’d been right; this night was worth waiting for. Now Ryo’s his he’s never letting him go.
