This isn’t Rose’s world. As much as she’d like to believe it is, there are simply too many differences between here and the world she grew up in. It isn’t just the dirigibles filling the skies, or the fact that her dad’s not only alive but a wealthy, respected businessman. Everything about this alternate version of earth feels wrong.

 
The worst part is discovering that the Doctor doesn’t exist in this universe, not the way he does in hers. Here, he’s nothing but a character in a comic book, a fictional superhero like Superman.

 
It’s enough to break Rose’s heart.
