Summary: The team are behaving suspiciously.

A/N: Double drabble.
Jack was becoming increasingly unsettled. Everywhere he went in the Hub, he found members of his team, heads together, whispering to each other, but as soon as he appeared, they fell silent and got back to work. It was very suspicious.
What if they’d all somehow been replaced by perfect replicas, android versions of themselves, or shapeshifters in disguise? What if the imposters were planning to invade the earth, or even just take over the Hub? With all the advanced tech stored in the archives, what chance would anyone have against that sort of infiltration? They could take over Torchwood, then UNIT, the military… Earth could fall without a single shot fired!
Ianto set Jack’s coffee on his desk and perched on the corner, as he always did. Jack eyed his familiar mug uncertainly. It could be drugged…
“Don’t look so worried, Jack.” Ianto sipped his own drink. “They’re just planning your surprise birthday party.”
Jack frowned at his lover. “But they don’t know when my birthday is! Even I don’t know!”
“Exactly. When it happens, it’s bound to be a surprise.”
“Should you be telling me this?”
“No, but they’re acting suspiciously, and I’d rather you didn’t shoot everyone.”
