Summary: Killing goes against everything the Doctor believes in.
Disclaimer: I don’t own Doctor Who, or the characters.
From the safety of another vessel, the Doctor watched the Dalek ship burn. He didn’t relish the death and destruction, would rather have been able to repel the invaders without any loss of life on either side, but when it came to Daleks that was seldom possible.
It wasn’t the first time he’d had to kill in order to protect others, but each time it happened, he hoped it would be the last. Every life should be cherished, the universe thrived on its very diversity, but Daleks could never understand that.
Watching the flames, inside the Doctor burned with shame.
