Spoilers: Nada.
Summary: Poor Ianto isn’t having a good day.
Disclaimer: I don’t own Torchwood, or the characters.
A/N: Double drabble.
The coldness of the water made Ianto gasp, and he immediately tried to get out from under the shower spray, but Jack used the bristles of the broom to propel him back under.
“Sorry, Ianto, I know it’s not pleasant, but this is the only way,” he said, making sure Ianto stayed put, shivering under the icy spray. “The cold water will dilute the toxins. Hot water would only cause them to be absorbed through your skin more quickly.”
“So I have to stand here and freeze to death instead of dying from being poisoned?”
“Owen is formulating an antidote, this should just slow the absorption, and slow your metabolism, so that less of the toxins will be absorbed. If you start feeling dizzy then sit down, but try to stay standing as long as you can so that as much of the poison will be washed away as possible.”
“I think I’d rather die from poison than hypothermia.”
“No, you really wouldn’t, it would feel like every cell of your body was on fire, inside as well as outside. Hypothermia isn’t a bad way to go, it’s quite peaceful, but you won’t die.”
“Why am I not feeling reassured?”
