Merry Christmas and Happy Holidays to all my F-List! This has been a tough year for all of us, but we're still here, and I want to send you all virtual hugs. *squishes*

Sorry I didn't send out cards this year, I've been having my own difficulties recently, been without much in the way of heat for the last month, but I'm keeping my spirits up as best I can. I know I'm still better off than a lot of people, and part of that is having so many lovely friends all around the world. I appreciate all of you more than I can express.

I hope you're all enjoying the festive season, even if you can't be with your loved ones they're still in your hearts. Don't let this year beat you down. It will get better!

P.S. Can anyone do a quick beta for me on a couple of fics for torchwood_fest?

nothing like no heat in the winter, been there many times

So have I, ten years ago after pipes burst and the heating packed up within days of each other. Spent three months sleeping on the living room floor, the house damp and cold... It was tough but I was younger then. It's only been a month, but that's a month too long.

The worst part was trying to keep my 80 year old mum warm. I'm really starting to hate years that end in a zero! They're jinxed...

Now that I think about it a year that ended in zero ended up with me losing my career as a surgeon thanks to an injury. You might be on to something

And my mum suffered a heart attack in 2000... I can't remember back as far as 1990.
