It was supposed to be a nice, hot, soothing cup of tea, just the thing Ianto needed to unwind after a stressful, miserable day out in the cold. Normally he would have brewed himself a restorative coffee, but it was late, he was tired, and he didn’t want to be kept awake half the night, hence the hot tea.
 

Only it wasn’t hot, it was stone bonking cold!

 
Ianto gazed woefully at his electric kettle. Of all the times for the stupid element to go, this had to be the worst.

 
“Maybe I can heat some water in the microwave.”

Poor Ianto. The microwave makes perfectly acceptable hot water though.
