Merry Christmas and a Very Happy 2023 to all my friends!
Thank you for all your support and friendship over the last 12 months. Hope to hang out with you all here next year.

I just can't get over the cute. The doggy is precious.
I don't know about you, but I'm just trying to get through Christmas. I don't know why, but this feels harder this year. I did make a list of unfinished stores and series that aren't complete. I thought that would help when I get to the point of writing goals for 2023. I wasn't expecting to find that many unfinished stories. I think I've written myself into too many corners in some of them. I did get a little caught-up last week. I'll take what I can get.

Making a list of unfinished fics is a good idea. All my fics are in one folder so I don't have to. I work on them until I'm happy, then post. Some have been there for years but I'll get to them eventually. Sometimes it helps to find the point in the story where you went the wrong way and got stuck. Then you can try taking it in a different direction.
I've signed up for getyourwordsout again this year, pledged to write 150k again because I know I can manage that. I like to make things easy for myself. There's less stress that way, and 150k is less than 500 words a day.

I actually already succeeded my word goal for the year by quite a bit. I'm almost at 75,000.
Sometimes my stories are unfinished, because I get to the end of a chapter and then don't get to the second chapter. That what a lot of these are. One of them in particular is definitely one the ones that I have written myself into a corner. I got to a stopping point on it and then had an idea for the second part, but I forgot what I intended for Chapter 2.

Well done!
I've got one of those. I thought I'd written notes and even the beginning of the next part, but if I did I can't find them. Maybe next year I'll get back to trying to figure it out.
