I love Margaritaville, probably like a lot of people it was their first Jimmy Buffett song back in the day, but I think your choice is a good one as a memorial.

So do I, although I think the first one I heard was A Pirate Looks at 40.

The thing is, there are so many amazing Jimmy Buffett songs that no one ever mentions. I wanted to pick something that might be new to some people, and really, he could be so amazingly lyrical. Loads of fun songs, but also some really sensitive ones. I love things like Island, Incommunicado, I Heard I was in Town... So many others. I have 43 Jimmy Buffett CDs, and I don't have everything even now. He was a major talent, yet still so underrated by many.

It still makes me laugh that Jimmy Buffett was one of the influences on getting Harrison Ford to get his ear pierced.
