Summary: It would be a bit difficult to avoid noticing the SUV.
Disclaimer: I don’t own Torchwood, or the characters.
A/N: Double drabble.
Ianto folded his arms over his chest and just looked at Jack. “Seriously? You expect to be able to tail this guy in the SUV? Don’t you think you might be a bit… conspicuous in a car with flashing blue lights and the word Torchwood written in yellow letters along both sides of the roof?”
“I won’t use the lights, and if I keep a few cars between us, he won’t be able to see the roof,” Jack said, sounding unworried.
“Maybe not, but he’ll still be able to see a huge, shiny, black SUV following him everywhere he goes, the exact kind of vehicle everyone knows Torchwood drives, and it’s Torchwood he’s been trying, with a remarkable amount of success, to avoid for the last week. Don’t you have a personal car you could drive instead?”
“I’ve got a nippy little convertible, but it’s a bit low to the ground, makes it difficult to see past the cars ahead. That’s why the SUV is so much better.”
“Give me patience,” Ianto muttered, closing his eyes, and pinching the bridge of his nose. He sighed heavily. “Fine, it looks like we’ll have to use my car.”
“Can I drive?”
“No!”
