Doctor Who Drabble: Riches

Title: Riches
Author:
[personal profile] badly_knitted
Characters: The Doctor.
Rating: G
Written For: Challenge 901: ‘Wealth’ at

Spoilers: Nada.
Summary: In the Doctor’s opinion, money is an encumbrance.
Disclaimer: I don’t own Doctor Who, or the characters.

The Doctor has never really cared much about money. Oh, it can be useful if he wants to buy some bananas, or tea, or one of those singing plants from Verdux IX, providing he’s got the right currency for the planet and the time period he’s visiting, but most of the time it’s just something else taking up space in his pockets.

Being wealthy doesn’t interest him. Wealthy people never seem particularly happy; they’re always worried about their money and wondering how to get more.

No, when it comes right down to it, the only wealth worth having is knowledge.

The End

I would say that I agree, only I have to add having a mind that (still) works is also very, very important. I fear dementia and worry about it so often.
