While we had some good drying weather last week I decided it was time the soft toys I finally got back from storage last year had a good clean. They were stored in bags but were still dusty and looking bedraggled.
I'm not sure they were terribly impressed with being hung upside down, but they're not the easiest things to peg out anyway. This is most of the first tree washer loads, probably got at least another five loads to do. Pink ones are up next, followed by purple, grey, and blue... I have rather a large collection. Grooming them when they're dry is the best part =D
Gotta love stuffed animals! I bought two unicorns last month (Naoki and Opal) last month, and they're helping me get through this when I'm not cuddling Sage and Nutmeg.
Gotta have something for cuddling and unicorns are a good choice! I have one small stuffed unicorn and a cute narwhal pencil case that sort of counts ;)
I'm finding grooming my stuffies very therapeutic, they all need a good brush once they're dry, but I still have a lot more waiting to be washed. This could take all summer, if I get enough good drying weather! What's in these photos is only the first three washer loads... I'll be washing the pink ones next, they're sorted and ready for mid-week when the weather should be warmer.
I've got a few I may have to hand wash or just surface wash, but they'll have to wait their turn.
I already had plenty to occupy me, I'm trying top sort the garden out, but it's too sad having all my poor stuffies tied up in bags. They need to feel the air in their fluff. They were in storage for 6 long years and I missed them. Goodness knows where I'll put them all once they're clean though...
