A/N: Drabble and a half, 150 words.

It’s crazy; Angel’s a vampire, which is supposed to mean he’s practically unkillable. Okay, so there’s stakes through the heart, and sunlight, Holy water, and beheading, but a simple little arrow? What harm’s that gonna do? It missed Angel’s heart so he should be fine, right? Vamps heal fast.

Only he isn’t. He’s not healing and he’s sure as heck not alright. He’s so weak he can’t even stand, and he’s burning up.

In some ways that’s the scariest part, because Buffy’s grown accustomed to his low body temperature, it’s normal, familiar, but right now he’s hotter than a furnace.

It’s poison of course, something called Killer of the Dead, which sounds pretty final, but there is a cure. Sort of. In order to heal, Angel will have to drain the blood of a Slayer.

Sounds like poetic justice to Buffy; Faith caused this, so she can provide the cure.
