Summary: Torchwood’s pets are a bit out of the ordinary.

A/N: Double drabble.
Settling beside Jack on the sofa beneath the Torchwood sign, Ianto looked to be deep in thought as he sipped his coffee. He wasn’t the most talkative member of the team, but this evening he seemed quieter than ever.
“Problems?” Jack asked.
“Hm? Oh, no, just thinking. We’re really not like other people, are we?”
“I’m guessing you’re not just talking about the whole immortality thing.”
“You guess right.” Ianto smiled. “When I was a kid, I always wanted a pet, a cat maybe, or a rabbit. Never got one of course, dad said we couldn’t afford another mouth to feed. Now here I am, a home of my own, and what do I have for pets? A Pteranodon and a confusion of Kneebles.”
“Don’t forget Yuk.”
“Yuk does not count as a pet, Jack. Pets are affectionate and entertaining while Yuk just sits there looking about as disgusting as any creature I’ve ever seen.”
“I suppose you’re right.” Jack frowned into his own mug. “Do you want a more… traditional pet? I mean, if you wanted, we could get a cat, or a dog.”
“When would we find time to care for it? I’ll just stick with my Kneebles.”
