There was no doubt that the TARDIS was impressive, even if from the outside it looked like a police call box. The immensity of its interior compared to its outer dimensions was enough to confound anyone, and then there was the central console with all its complex controls.

 
Ace wandered around, past the coatrack, eyes wide. “Cool! So what are these for?” She pointed at the round indentations that covered the walls, some grey and others shining white as though they had lights behind them.
 

“The roundels? Oh, nothing really. They’re just there for decoration. Plain walls are so boring.”
