Summary: Nosy is always willing to help clean, but there are some things it can’t manage.
Disclaimer: I don’t own Torchwood, or the characters.
A/N: Double drabble.
Nosy had learned early on how to help with cleaning around the Hub. It had quickly learned to use a feather duster, which was lots of fun, and had been given one of its very own. Later, it had been taught to use a vacuum cleaner, although that could sometimes be a bit tricky if the machine started sucking up the wrong things, like important papers, or the coverings its friends wore to keep their mostly hairless bodies from getting cold.
Anyway, Nosy liked helping, so when it moved with its friends into their new flat, it had continued dusting and vacuuming. Now that Jack and Ianto had their new human though, there were certain aspects of cleaning that a Fluff couldn’t help with.
Unlike Flufflets, babies, especially the very new ones, required a lot of cleaning. They went through several changes of coverings every day, and then the whole baby needed to be dipped in water and washed all over. It was fascinating to watch.
Now, however, Meriel was a bit older and learning to feed herself. In Nosy’s opinion, it wasn’t going too well. Licking spilled applesauce from its fur, it realised it would need help cleaning itself.
