The moon is no more than a sliver high in the sky, pale as bone in the chill autumn air. Dead leaves scatter the ground in the glow of the streetlights and the trees are almost bare. Halloween is hardly more than a week away.


Ryo loves autumn but as Dee rubs his hands together, blowing on them to warm them, he can’t see the appeal. He wishes it was still summer, although he’d complained about the heat. He’d rather be too hot than too cold. He should have wrapped up warmer.


All this because Ryo wants to watch meteors!
