A/N: Double drabble.
In Ianto’s opinion, the average burglar isn’t particularly bright. Most are opportunists; they see an open window or door, any kind of potentially easy target, and they’re in like a shot, grabbing whatever they can carry that might make them a few bob, to feed a drug habit or line their pockets.
Ianto had told Jack time and again to make sure he shut the tourist office door properly; wet weather made the frame swell, but Jack still expected it to latch with just the flick of a foot to the bottom as he entered.
The burglar, on finding the door ajar, had probably thought there might be cash in the register, but if so, he must have been sorely disappointed to find it empty. In snooping for something else to steal though, he’d found the secret entrance to the back staircase and make his way down into the Hub. By now he most likely wished he hadn’t.
“Get it off me!
The frantic shouts had alerted Jack and Ianto.
“Why should we? You’re trespassing,” Ianto said mildly.
“What is that thing?”
“It’s our attack dog. Well, attack Fluff to be more precise.”
“HUMMMMMM!” Nosy was justifiably pleased with itself.
