“Hold still and give me your… branch,” Owen muttered, glaring at what Jack assured him was actually Ianto.

 
The sapling’s slender branches whipped as far from Owen as they could get.
 

“Quit mucking about, Tea-Tree! I need to run tests!”
 

“I think he’s worried you’ll cut something off,” Jack explained as the small tree scuttled behind him on its roots. “Then when Tosh changes him back he might find he’s missing a finger, or something even more important.”
 

“Relax, I’m not an idiot. I just want to take a small scraping from your bark. You’ll hardly notice. I’ll take it from one of the bigger branches, okay?”

 
Reluctantly, Ianto sidled out from behind Jack and extended a branch, quivering as Owen scraped some bark off it.
 

“There, see? Nothing to it!”
 

Three hours later, Ianto was himself again, thanks to Tosh having figured out how to reverse the effects of the device he and Jack had found.

 
“Nothing to it, he said,” Ianto grumbled as Jack bathed the painful abrasion on his lover’s upper arm. “Feels like he used a sander on me!”

 
Jack taped a dressing over the wound. “At least you still have all your fingers and toes.”
