All his friends used to think Dee would never settle down; he wasn’t the kind. They figured he’d be playing the field for the rest of his life, loving whatever beautiful girl or hot guy caught his eye, then dumping them in favour of the next pretty face to pass his way. Just showed how little they really knew him!

 
If they could see him now, well, they’d see the real Dee Laytner, the guy who spent what felt like forever waiting for the right person to come along so he could commit himself to them, body, heart, and soul.

 
That was all he’d ever wanted, to find the one person who would make him feel complete, and he’d found that in Ryo Maclean. If such a thing as soulmates existed then Ryo was his, possibly the only person in the entire universe who fitted with Dee as if he’d been specifically designed for the purpose. Dee knew beyond a shadow of a doubt that Ryo felt exactly the same way; they were two halves of a whole, and they’d both been missing a vital part of themselves until they’d found each other.

 
This was how forever must feel; perfect.
