The ragtag little band of aliens stood outside the TARDIS, looking up at the Doctor, who’d just opened the door in response to their knock.

 
“Hello there. What can I do for you?”
 

One stepped forward. “We seek asylum. We are being persecuted by the rest of our tribe.”
 

“Oh. Why is that?”
 

“We would not fight in their war. Our tribe is at war with a neighbouring tribe over the right to farm a piece of land. Both tribes are killing each other and ruining the land. They say we are cowards.”

 
“Do they now? We’ll see about that!”
