The sight of Ryo in cargo shorts and a sleeveless tee was enough to make Dee’s mouth go dry. It wasn’t even that there was so much bare flesh on show, because he’d seen his lover in less, and in nothing, stretched out naked on the bed, or dripping wet from the shower. It was more that Ryo, who usually dressed so smartly for work, or even for their dates, looked so relaxed and casual.

 
“Lovin’ the new look.” Dee’s grin was just short of an outright leer.
 

“You’re sure it’s okay?” Ryo frowned at his reflection. “Not too casual?”
 

“We’re goin’ to Coney Island, babe; there’s no dress code there. Fact is, I’m kinda wishin’ I’d opted for shorts myself. It’s hot out there. Hope you’re wearin’ plenty of sunscreen; ya don’t wanna burn.”

 
Ryo nodded. “And I’ve got the bottle in my bag in case I need to apply more. It’s supposed to be waterproof, but there’s no point taking chances.”

 
“As if you would. So, are ya ready to go?”
 

“Yep!” Grinning, Ryo picked up a shirt and popped it in his bag, zipping it closed “Maybe we can get you some shorts when we get there.”
