Summary: Even the Doctor gets them.

There was a ringing in the Doctor’s ears, so he stuck a finger in one, wriggling it around, then tried the other. It didn’t help; the strident ringing continued. Maybe it wasn’t his ears after all. There was something strangely familiar about the sound, but what could it be?
Understanding hit him like a lightning bolt. “Phone!” He patted his pockets, rummaged through them, but there was no phone. The tinny ringing went on unabated.
Finally unearthing the phone from beneath the TARDIS console, he answered it.
“Hello?”
“This is an automated reminder. Your phone warranty is about to expire.”
The End
