Summary: Travelling with the Doctor doesn’t always involve running for your life.
Disclaimer: I don’t own Doctor Who, or the characters.
“This makes a welcome change.” Martha doesn’t mean it as a criticism, because it’s not. Running about, fixing problems, saving lives, and putting timelines back on the right track is what travelling with the Doctor is all about; seeing and experiencing amazing things is sort of a bonus. Nevertheless, being able to meander along at a leisurely pace is a rare pleasure.
For once they’re not running towards or away from danger, they’re just strolling through a beautiful setting, enjoying the fresh air and sunshine. It won’t last, but that’s all the more reason to enjoy it while they can.
