Summary: The Master wants to be the undisputed lord of all.
Disclaimer: I don’t own Doctor Who, or the characters.
The Master sees himself as the patriarch of the new order he intends to create, the final authority, ruler of all he surveys. He was always ambitious, with an unquenchable thirst for power, and now he’s ripping apart the fabric of time and space, creating a paradox that’s causing the universe to scream in protest.
The Doctor can hear that scream, it claws at his senses like fingernails down a blackboard, strident, discordant, and agonising. To the Master it’s no doubt the sweetest music imaginable.
He has to be stopped, but the Doctor is powerless. Only Martha can save them.
