“I don’t mean to be critical,” Rory said hesitantly, “but… Well, the tweed I get, I suppose. Gives you a sort of university professor vibe, but the bowtie…” He trailed off again.

 
“What’s wrong with it? Bowties are cool!”

 
“Are they? It’s just, hardly anyone wears them these days, except for the black ones with formal wear. You look a bit out of place.”

 
“Oi! Pond, your friend’s criticising my outfit!”

 
“It does look sort of dated, don’t you think?” Amy would have preferred not to get involved.
 

The Doctor huffed. “I prefer to think of my style as timeless.”
