A/N: Double drabble. Set in my Through Time and Space ‘Verse.
Jack had been a Time Agent for years, and then a conman. Honestly, he should have been used to the whole incognito thing, dressing to fit in, keeping everything lowkey, but maybe living in one place for so long had blunted his ability to disguise himself… Only that couldn’t be true, because he’d certainly blended in well enough in the time between leaving earth, and Ianto catching up with him, which just made this situation even more bizarre.
“Incognito, Jack!” Ianto glared at his lover in exasperation. “You’re supposed to blend in, not stick out like a sore thumb!”
“I know what incognito means.” Jack pouted at his lover, who was dressed in Des Llewellyn’s unobtrusive, somewhat shabby, dusty outfit for a meeting with some of his galactic underworld contacts.
“Then why are you dressed like that? You were supposed to come up with an alternate identity for these jaunts. How did you manage to be convincing as a conman if you can’t even disguise yourself?”
“No one out here has seen me dressed like this!”
“I’ve shown people your photograph everywhere I’ve gone. A photo of you dressed exactly like that! World War Two era outfits are NOT inconspicuous!”
The End
