Spoilers: Nada.
Summary: Jack is worried about the twins on their first day of school.
Disclaimer: I don’t own Torchwood, or the characters.
A/N: Double drabble.
“I can’t believe we just did that!” Jack said, sounding distraught as they let themselves back into their flat. “We just took them inside, said goodbye, and left them!”
“It’s their first day of school, Jack. You’re making it sound like we dumped the twins in the middle of nowhere and left them to fend for themselves. They’ll be fine; they didn’t even cry.”
Not that Ianto had expected them to; he and Jack, and even their older sister, Meriel had explained to them about school, and how they would learn all kinds of amazing things as well as having lots of other children to play with. Besides, the twins didn’t cry much these days anyway, mostly they just pouted, stamped their feet, and mutinously refused to do as they were told. Tears were reserved for when they hurt themselves, or as a manipulation tactic when they couldn’t get their own way.
“But we just left them, without saying anything to anyone! We’re irresponsible parents! We should have at least warned their teacher! When the school finds out what monsters they are…” Jack trailed off, looking horrified.
“Maybe they won’t be expelled if we pay for any damage they cause.”
The End
