A/N: Double drabble.
“What’s for dessert?” Bikky asked, sliding into his seat at the table.
Ryo frowned at his foster son. “I haven’t even served the first course yet!”
“I know, and it smells great, but I need to know how much room I should leave for dessert. I don’t wanna be too stuffed to enjoy it.”
“The kid has a point,” Dee agreed. “Your dinners are so amazin’, it’s not easy leavin’ enough room for dessert. If we know in advance, we can be more strategic in what we load our plates with.”
Shaking his head, Ryo couldn’t help but chuckle. “You’re both weird.”
“Nuh uh!” Bikky shook his head. “It’s all about tactics, same as basketball. Some foods take up more space than others. Have to work out the maximum amount of each food group it’ll take to fill us up, and that includes dessert.”
“Would you care to see the menu, sirs?”
Dee snorted. “C’mon, babe, just tell us!”
“Fine. Dessert is apple pie and ice cream.”
“Awesome!” Bikky beamed. “Ice cream doesn’t take up any room at all. That means I can have two pieces of pie.”
“Can I serve the first course now?”
“Yep!” Dee grinned. “We’re ready!”
