Here we are, Monday once more, and another very short fic for Fic of the Week. Maybe next week, normal service can resume. we'll see.

For now, have a tiny little three-parter from may 2008.

So Easy is by WanderingPirate over on ff.net.

Summary: Ianto ponders over Jack, Lisa and love.

I love fics that get inside Ianto's head, such fascinating things go on in there! He might not be much of a talker, but he's definitely a thinker.

Read it here.

Still got eleven of my bingo fics to post and only eight days left, lots to do so I'm off to get started. Happy reading, everybody!

Hi! It's Monday again, and despite being frantically busy writing and posting fics for my bingo card, I'm determined not to let Fic of the Week slide, even if the fics are getting preogressively shorter, lol! So, here we go!

This week's fic is Going In Circles, a little three-parter from October 2010 by the lovely
miss_bekahrose.

Summary: Ianto is sick of Jack's cavalier attitude towards death and dying - specifically, Jack's death and dying. (Set sometime post-KKBB)

Read it here on LJ

Or here on dreamwidth

So, there you go! Happy reading, everybody!

Another Monday, and another short fic. I've got a lot to do, so this will be a very quick post.

This week's fic is A Matter Of Time, a 5-parter by
iolo1234 from September 2009.

Summary: This is my take on how the relationship between Ianto and Jack developed. It begins at the end of episode 5 with Jack sat in his office and refers back to other events. I’ve tried to stick to the outline story with some minor changes with my own inventions in between. It’s majorly fluffy and romantic with a bit of sexual stuff thrown in.

Read it here on LJ

Here on ff.net

Here on AO3

And that's all for this week, folks! I have to get back to writing now. Wish me luck!

Happy reading, everybody!

Monday again, and in deference to all the writing I still have to do, I've picked another short fic for Fic of the Week - this one only has 4 chapters!

A View To A Thrill by
jovialien is from June 2008 and contains spoilers for From Out of the Rain. It starts as PG-13, but from Part 2 we're in NC-17 territory - smut, glorious smut! Just the thing for when I'm taking a brief break from writing =D

Summary: Jack wants to try something new but will Ianto ever go for it?

Part 1 is here. Parts are linked.

And that's all for this week - I'm heading off now to post the next part of the Drone series. There are three parts left to post here, then it's done, though I might write an epilogue or two at a later date.

Happy reading, everybody!

Happy Bank Holiday, for those of us in England and anywhere else that's having a national holiday today. Welcome to another Fic of the Week!

As most people know, I'm snowed under with writing so I don't have a lot of time to read right now. Thus, I bring you another very short fic this week.

Here's one that seems fairly obscure - The Albedo Of Snow by
euphrosyne2u is a 5-part fic from way back in October 2008. I know almost nothing about this one except that it's Janto, which is always a plus in my book! There doesn't even seem to be a summary! So, just dive right in and see what happens =)

Part 1 is here - All parts are linked.

Happy reading, everybody!

badly_knitted: (I'll Take This One)

Monday again already, and the sun is shining for a change - t-shirt weather!

This week's fic is another short one (I can't keep up if I pick something long, I've hardly any time available for reading at the moment with everything else I've got to do), just 7 short chapters.

Digging For Life is by musingwoman on ff.net and was posted back in March of 2009. It's an Owen story, as far as I can make out at first glance.

Summary: A Helicopter is missing, a child's life at stake. Can Owen find him in time? Rated T because of lost child theme and Owen swearing. No change there then! Reference to 'Something in the Water' by Trevor Baxendale.

Read it here.

And that's all for this week. Happy reading everybody!

Happy Fic of the Week Day!

This week's fic is a little 6 parter from the dawn ot time - way back in December 2006!

Home Sweet Hell is by
pokerkitten and is set around the episode most people dislike - Random Shoes - but I believe the fic itself is mainly Ianto-centric, or Jack/Ianto.

There's no summary, so I can't tell you anything else without reading the fic.

Part 1 is here
- parts are all linked.

Well, that was a short but sweet post!

Happy reading, everybody!

It's Monday already, but it's a bank holiday so it still feels like Sunday and I'm half asleep. Welcome to this week's edition of Fic of the Week, if I can just stay awake long enough to post it...

It's a short fic of short chapters this week because I need to have time for writing. I've still barely started anything for my bingo card. o_O

So, Memory Lapse is a 9 chapter fic, but the chapters are bite-sized so it'll be a quick read. Written by Just Gabz on ff.net back in January of 2009, this one is Teen rated.

Summary: Jack And Ianto are investigating an alien artefact when a burst of light hits them, what must the team do to fix the effects?

Read it here.

And that's all, folks! Happy reading!

badly_knitted: (I'll Take This One)

Welcome to another, rather rushed edition of Fic of the Week!

This week's fic comes to us courtesy of the amazing
[personal profile] milady_dragon  (yes, I still have some of your fics to read, lol). Love At First Bite is another reel_torchwood fic, a Torchwood adaptation of one of my favourite silly films. I've been saving it for when I needed a laugh.

Summary: Vampire Count Ianto Jones travels to America to find his soulmate, model Jack Harkness. Of course, things don't go quite according to his plan...

Is Ianto the world's first Welsh vampire? He's been a vampire in quite a few fics...

Read it here on LJ

Here on Dreamwidth

Here on ff.net

Or here on AO3

There, that's all for this week - I'm three drabbles behind
iantojjackh and I only have two left to post, so I'd best go post one!

Happy reading everybody!

badly_knitted: (I'll Take This One)

Happy Monday!

I have something for us all today that I'm particularly excited about - a fic by the wonderful
[personal profile] gracie_musica  that I haven't read yet!

Change For The World is in 7 parts and is a crossover with Doctor Who. It's actually 7 individual stories which follow on from each other, but I'm treating them as a series. Spoilers for Torchwood S1 & S2, and Doctor Who S3, especially Human Nature/Family of Blood.

There's no proper summary, so here's a note by the author:

Author's Notes: Inspired by a set of macros over on ihazastopwatch... and by the bit in Meat where Jack has a pocketwatch. Evidence is mounting up... It's set after that infamous kiss scene in To The Last Man.

Find it here on LJ.

Here on dreamwidth.

Or here on ff.net
.

Hope you all enjoy! Happy reading, everybody!

Hello! It's a bit late but at least this week I got the day right! I had to book a doctor's appointment today and the only slot they had this week was at 11 this morning, due to a cancellation, which meant I went out and did a load of shopping afterwards, didn't get home until nearly 4pm and still had the daily chores to do. I'm shattered.

So, this week I have another short fic scheduled, just 5 easy parts. Dream Spaces And Nightmare Times is by mama rocks over on ff.net, and it's from July 2009.

Summary: Everybody has dreams and nightmares. A chapter for each team member. All chapters contain established Janto relationship and adult themes. Angsty and not always pretty. Ianto first.

Read it here.

And that's all for this week! Happy reading, everybody. (Well, maybe not so happy judging by the summary, I'll try to find something more cheerful for next week!)

badly_knitted: (I'll Take This One)

MEEP!

Guess who forgot yesterday was Monday! So, so sorry! Fic of the week is late. And because of that, it's also a very short one because this week is being a bit of a pain. I had a migraine up until this morning, I still feel like hell, but I'm hoping to get some shopping done tomorrow... Depends how I feel in the morning, the last few weeks haven't been good.

Anyway, Fic! Because of having a shortage of time, it's just a little three parter this week, a nice smutty threesome because smut makes everything better!

Midnight Show by
cs_whitewolf is Jack/Ianto/PC Andy (one of my favourite threesomes). Weevil hunting the Janto way, lol! It's from way back in November 2008, vintage smut =D

Summary for Part 1 - In which dogging may not be quite as illegal as one thinks it is.

First part is here. Parts are linked.

Well, better late (and short) than never! Once again, I apologise. Yesterday was just weird, I completely forgot! Hope you all enjoy the smut! Happy reading!

*waves feebly* It's Monday, so it's Fic of the Week time! Migraine be damned (seriously, I'd send it to Hell where it belongs if I knew how), I'm still posting! Dedicated, that's me =)

So, today, another
reel_torchwood fic, this one fairly recent as it's from September 2012.

Tinker, Pirate, Princess, Pan is, fairly obviously, a take on the old classic Peter Pan, most particularly the 2003 film version. It's by the ever-wonderful
moonfirefic, so quality is assured!

Summary: On a blustery winter's evening, a storyteller tells the children of the Great Ormond Street Hospital a story about how a Pan and his Tinker saved Neverland.

A/N: A few liberties were taken with the overall makeup of Neverland, but then again, it's a place built on wishes and dreams so who's to say this isn't what really happened?

There is a prologue, 6 chapters and an epilogue to this one, so it shouldn't take long to read, which is good for those of us who are short of time!

Dreamwidth Master Post here.

Livejournal Master Post here.

So there you have it! Happy reading, everybody!

It's a chilly Monday, but the sun is shining so I've emerged from my burrow to bring you this week's Fic of the Week =)

Today is the turn of Quelled Or Quenched a little 7 part fic by
rev02a from early 2011. This is a pre-series AU with Jack and his pre-Millennium Torchwood team and Ianto working for Torchwood One.

Summary: Torchwood One’s mantra of “if it’s alien, it’s ours” may suit the dreams of rebuilding an empire, but does little for ethical concerns. In 1998, Captain Jack Harkness becomes aware of the imprisonment and experimentation on the Ambassador of the Forest of Cheem.

So, slightly a Who crossover too. I liked the trees of the Forest of Cheem, so I'm looking forward to this, even though it sounds like the ambassador won't be having a very happy time!

All the chapters are on this page.  Just start at the bottom.

Happy reading, everybody!

Hello! It's Fic of the Week day again! =D

Today's choice is a little fic set just after KKBB. Lost Lips, Broken Bullets by
butterflycell is from way back in June 2008. There are 7 parts and an epilogue, all fairly short.

Summary: "Jack's back, John's gone and the team have to avoid themselves. The only place Jack can go is back to Ianto's flat, but there's something else that Ianto insists on avoiding with the Captain."

Important A/N from the writer: The first thing I need to say here is that
candy_belle has done a fic set just after KK,BB (Where do we go from here?) and there are some striking similarities between our fics. I want to say now that they are purely coincidence! I had already completely written my fic before she posted her first chapter.

Part 1 is here on LJ Parts are linked.

Or, read the fic here on ff.net The epilogue is only on LJ HERE.

And that's it for this week. Happy reading, everybody!

badly_knitted: (I'll Take This One)

Oh look, it's Monday again! Guess that means it's time for Fic of the Week!

Okay, here's a little 7-parter from August 2008. The author's journal is gone, but the fic is still on
torchwoodcoffee, so I figure it's still fair game.

Phantom is by nox_caelum and contains spoilers for Torchwood's first two seasons as well as the end of Doctor Who S4.

Summary: Ianto meets an unwelcome person from his past but won't tell Jack who he is.

Part 1       Part 2       Part 3       Part 4       Part 5       Part 6       Part 7

And that's all for this week, y'all!

Happy reading, everybody ;)

Here we are, another Monday and another Fic of the Week. I loved last week's so much I've decided to go with another
reel_torchwood fic this week, by one of my favourite writers.

Choelia 'm is a 7-part fic by
choccy_grl based on the Hitchcock version of the movie The 39 Steps. There are a mix of Torchwood and Doctor Who (Eleven) characters, and it's set shortly after Exit Wounds. I'm officially intrigued!

Summary: Ianto has a headache and things get timey-whimey.

Part 1 is here. Parts are linked.

And that's all for now! Happy reading, everybody!

badly_knitted: (I'll Take This One)

Happy Monday, people! Today on Fic of the Week I'm going back to a
reel_torchwood fic from May 2010.

Torchwood Twyn by
bookwrm89 is based on the movie Notting Hill, which amazingly I have never seen. So, I have no idea of the story but I know how good a writer the author is, so I'm really looking forward to this one. It uses characters from both Torchwood and Doctor Who. There's a short prologue, 9 parts and an epilogue.

Summary: The life of Torchwood agent, Ianto Jones, changes forever when he meets the most famous actor in the world.

Oh yes, I'm gonna love this!

Read it here on LJ (Parts are linked)

Or here on AO3

Hope you all enjoy it too! Happy reading, everybody!

badly_knitted: (I'll Take This One)

It's Monday again already! I still haven't caught up with my reading though, in fact I'm getting further behind because the external hard drive I use as my main back-up is slowly dying and I'm spending hours transferring files to the new one I just bought, a slow and tedious task made better by re-watching Babylon 5.

Anyway, it's another short fic this week. I think this one is complete, but not having read it yet I'm not 100% certain. Still, I guess I won't know for sure until I read it!

Toto, I've A Feeling We're Not In Cardiff Any More is a 5-part fic by
aranellaurelote from 2009/2011. Started in June of 2009, it wasn't finished until Feb 2011.

Summary: There's a bit of a problem with some alien tech that lands Ianto Jones in prison, in the future. The one thing he knows is this isn't Cardiff, and his only hope of return is with The Doctor.

Needless to say, it's a bit of a crossover with Doctor Who.

Part 1 is here on LJ - Parts are linked except for Part 5 which is here.

It's also available on ff.net here.

That's all for this week! Happy reading, everybody!

badly_knitted: (I'll Take This One)

Hello, people! I'm back with another Fic of the Week. Owing to the fact that I'm WAY behind with my reading/betaing/writing at the moment, I've picked a very short one this week, just 6 short chapters, in the hopes that I might manage to read it as well as getting caught up a bit. I'm also still struggling to come up with ideas for my
[community profile] cottoncandy_bingo  card.

Problems With The Plumbing, by Arlath's Star over on ff.net, was originally posted Nov/Dec 2010 and puts poor Ianto in peril!

Summary and Author's Note: In which Ianto wishes that he knew how to swim.

It seems that in my last story Ianto got off rather lightly, being sadly neglected in terms of cliff-hangers and near-death situations. I intend to rectify this grave error in the following story. That's about all you need to know about it for now.

*Gulp* Poor Ianto!

See what happens here!

Hope you enjoy! Happy reading, everybody =)
