Characters: JJ, Dee, Ryo.
Rating: G
Setting: Early in the manga.
Summary: JJ just wants Dee to notice him.
Written Using: The tw100 prompt ‘Notice’.
Disclaimer: I don’t own FAKE, or the characters. They belong to the wonderful Sanami Matoh.
A/N: This one’s a double drabble and a half, 250 words.
No matter how hard JJ tried, he couldn’t make Dee notice him, or at least not the way he wanted him to. Back at the police academy he’d tried everything he could think of, more than once, to no avail. Now here they were working together, and if anything, the situation was even worse. All because of Dee’s new work partner.
Randy ‘Ryo’ Maclean; what kind of name was that anyway? What was it about him that had Dee so captivated? JJ couldn’t see it himself. Oh, Ryo wasn’t bad looking, but definitely not as cute as JJ, and he was a good cop, even a pretty good sniper although of course JJ was better.
He was a nice guy too, which just made things so much worse; it was impossible not to like him. If it weren’t for Dee, maybe he and Ryo could even have been friends, but JJ couldn’t let that happen; they were rivals, even if Ryo didn’t seem to want all the attention Dee lavished on him. Just went to show that as nice as Ryo was, he wasn’t very bright. If JJ were in Ryo’s shoes he wouldn’t keep pushing Dee away. He’d pull him closer and love him so much that Dee would never ever want to let him go. Why did Dee keep wasting his time on someone who just wasn’t interested in what he had to offer? Why couldn’t he just turn around and notice the one who really loved him?
