Double Drabble: Helpers

Summary: Ianto has a lot less to do now he has a team of willing helpers.

A/N: Double drabble.




There’d been a time when one of Ianto’s main duties had been to clear up after his teammates, gathering the empty takeaway containers and sweet wrappers to go in the furnace, emptying rubbish bins, collecting and washing used mugs and plates, sweeping the floors, and wiping down the coffee table and workstations. It still sometimes seemed odd not having to do any of it.


He sat on the sofa, finishing off some paperwork and half-watching his assistants bustling around. George the animated suit was loading dirty mugs and plates on his tray, taking them to the kitchen to go in the dishwasher. Nosy was dragging a black trash bag around in its mouth, using its tail to sweep rubbish into it, while Dizzy took care of stray crumbs and collected scraps of paper from under the furniture.


Soon George would get out the industrial vacuum cleaner while Nosy and Dizzy busied themselves with their feather dusters, having already put most of their toys away.


George would then tidy the workstations before going downstairs to feed the inhabitants of the cells. All Ianto needed to do was make a last round of coffee for everyone.


It was good to have help.
