Summary: Ryo is in danger and Dee blames himself

A/N: Double drabble.




It shouldn’t have happened and Dee was kicking himself. He should’ve been there when his partner needed him, but instead he’d taken the morning off Just so he could take his car in for a tune-up. As if he cared more for the damned car than he did for the man he loved!


Now a would-be thief was holding Ryo hostage on the top floor of a tenement building. It was only six floors up but nobody could get a good view of what was going on inside the apartment.


The SWAT team was on standby, a police negotiator was trying to persuade the guy to give himself up, and Dee was sick of hanging around waiting to find out if his partner was even alive. So he took matters into his own hands, climbing the fire escape at the end of the block, working his way across the rooftops to the right building, then over the edge and through the window before the bad guy had time to blink.


Ryo looked up from where he was handcuffed to the radiator, astonished.


“Dee!”


“None other! You should know by now you can count on me; I’ll always have your back.”
