“So,” said Rhys, leaning on the counter beside Ianto, having decided it was time he got to know Gwen’s colleagues better. “I know Gwen does… she calls it fieldwork, right?”
 

Ianto nodded, his hands moving swiftly and surely over the coffee machine’s buttons and levers as he brewed the team’s mid-afternoon caffeine fix. “Right.”
 

“That Owen bloke’s the doctor, and Toshiko is the computer expert.”
 

“Among other things. Owen does autopsies and forensic work, Tosh works with alien technology as well as computers, monitors the Rift, and handles Hub security.”

 
“And what do you do, aside from making the coffee?”
 

“I’m the general support officer and Jack’s personal assistant. I run the archives and tourist office, do the filing, clean out and feed the Hub’s residents, make sure the team remembers to eat and has all the equipment they need, when they need it, handle general repairs and maintenance for the Hub and the SUV, body disposal, janitorial duties, because the others don’t seem to know how to clean up after themselves… Pretty much everything nobody else wants to do, plus fieldwork.”
 

Rhys’ jaw dropped. “You do more work than the rest of them put together!”
 

Ianto sighed. “I know.”
