“Why jelly babies?” Sarah Jane asked. It was a question she’d been longing to ask, but at the same time had felt it was too unimportant to mention. She wasn’t even sure why she was asking now; it had simply slipped out.

 
“Why not?” The Doctor beamed at her from beneath the brim of his hat. “They’re colourful, they taste good, and they don’t go all gooey like some sweets. Perfect for keeping in my pocket. Besides, everybody likes jelly babies.” He offered the bag to Sarah Jane, and she took one, because he was right.

 
Jelly babies were brilliant.

Man, it's been decades since I last had a Jelly Baby. I don't remember what they taste like though, I should see about getting some (for research purposes, of course. (LOL)
