Summary: Ianto’s first official Weevil hunt isn’t going to plan.

It had been Jack’s idea for Ianto to try his hand at Weevil hunting as a way of becoming more integrated into the team, and so far it was going about as well as his previous attempt at getting Torchwood’s GSO out into the field. That had ended with Ianto almost being butchered and eaten by human cannibals, and this time it looked like there was every possibility of him becoming Weevil chow.
 

The adventure had begun promisingly enough, much the way the trip to the Beacons had, but then everything had started to go downhill, and Ianto began to wonder whether that was his fault, or if it was just a Torchwood thing.
 

They’d located the straying Weevil easily enough, rummaging in bins behind the Indian takeaway, and they’d given chase. But suddenly there’d been two Weevils, and somehow Ianto had become separated from Jack, facing a cranky Weevil by himself in a narrow alleyway. Now what was he supposed to do? What would Jack do?
 

“The best defence is a good offence,” Ianto muttered under his breath. “Let’s see if that’s true.” Weevil spray in one hand, stun-gun in the other, Ianto roared at the Weevil and charged.

Poor Ianto! Well, it can't be worse than cannibals though (few things are!).

The Weevil will be totally demoralised and either flee to the sewers or become submissive. Ianto can be scary ;)
