Summary: It’s time for Jack and Ianto to leave their island paradise.

A/N: Double drabble.
 


 
Jack had promised Ianto a tropical island vacation, and he’d certainly kept his word, even though the island had been on an alien planet instead of earth, and they’d travelled there aboard the TARDIS rather than catching a plane. Now, however, after a blissful two months in paradise, it was time for them to return home.

 
Ianto knew they could stay longer if they wanted, but he also knew the longer they stayed the harder it would become to leave, and it really wouldn’t be fair to abandon the rest of the team forever.
 

So here they were, waiting for the Doctor to pick them up. Jack had just phoned him, and after less than twenty minutes the TARDIS materialised in front of them, the Doctor welcoming them aboard.
 

“Back to Cardiff?” he asked. “Or would you like to go somewhere else first?”
 

“Tempting,” Jack admitted, “but we really should be getting back, preferably not too long after we left.”
 

“Say no more!” the Doctor beamed. “Same day delivery guaranteed!”
 

“I’ll believe that when I see it,” Ianto muttered. “Punctuality isn’t his strong point.”
 

Amazingly, it only took the Doctor three attempts to arrive at the right time and place.
