Summary: Jack’s anger is justified, but is it directed at the right person?

A/N: Double drabble.
Anger roared through Jack’s veins, making him see red. It was a combination of the sting of betrayal, terror that his newest hire had been hiding a monster in his base for months without him having the faintest idea, and guilt. His libido had got in the way of his common sense, otherwise perhaps he would have given more thought to why Ianto was so determined to continue working for Torchwood.
Even as he was threatening to shoot the defiant young man, part of him couldn’t help wondering if he was angry at the wrong person, or at the right person but for the wrong reasons. It was the height of stupidity for Ianto to think anyone could undo what the Cybermen had done to what had once been his girlfriend, but how much could Jones have known about cyberconversion?
He'd been so much in love with the girl, Lisa, that he’d risked everything in an effort to save her. Stupid, yes, but at least he hadn’t intentionally been trying to wipe out the human race. He’d made a serious mistake, one that couldn’t be allowed to pass without punishment, but maybe he didn’t deserve to be executed over it.
