A/N: Drabble and a half, 150 words.
“Look at that! Can you believe flares are comin’ back into fashion?” Slumped down in the driver’s seat, Dee stared after a group of teenagers; daytime stakeouts were marginally less boring than the nighttime ones, if only because there was more opportunity for peoplewatching.
“Sooner or later, fashions always come back around.” Ryo kept his eyes fixed on the building they were supposed to be watching.
“Yeah, but why is it always the worst stuff? Next thing ya know it’ll be shell suits and shoulder pads.”
Ryo spared his partner a brief glance. “Good thing we’re not obsessed with following the latest trends.”
“Tell me about it.” Dee was silent for a few minutes, then he snickered.
“Now what?”
“Just picturin’ JJ and Drake comin’ to work in matchin’ shell suits.”
Ryo winced. “Better hope that never happens.”
“Yeah. Everyone would be too busy laughin’ to get any work done.”
