Summary: Nosy can feel the emotions of everyone around it.
Disclaimer: I don’t own Torchwood, or the characters.
A/N: Double drabble.
Fluffs knew all about feelings. They had their own, of course, they could feel happy or sad, angry or joyful, hurt, lonely, loved… There were so many ways to feel, and all living things had feelings of some description, even plants and insects. Fluffs knew this because they were able to sense the emotions of everything around them.
True, the feelings of those they were bonded with came through the most clearly, but they were aware at all times of a background murmur made up of every emotion being felt by anyone, or anything, in their vicinity.
Strong emotions were the most easily identified: Fear, pain, anger, grief… Death.
Nosy paused, then hurried to find Ianto. It had just felt Jack… stop. Somewhere out in Cardiff, one of its closest friends had ceased to be alive, and Ianto needed to know, so he could go to his lover.
“HUUUuuuummmmMMMM!” it said urgently.
Ianto stopped what he was doing, a chill racing through him.
“Jack?”
“hum,” Nosy agreed in a small, mournful voice.
“Thank you. Don’t worry, I’ll find him.”
Nosy wasn’t worried, just sad. It knew Jack would come back, but there was an empty space where he should be.
