Disclaimer: I don’t own Doctor Who, or the characters.
The creatures looked a little like swans made of blown glass, their bodies a network of translucent filaments along which pulses of colour randomly passed. They looked so delicate and fragile it seemed the slightest breath of air would surely cause them to shatter into a million pieces, and yet according to the Doctor, it was a case of appearances being deceptive.
“If you hit one with a hammer, you’d be more likely to injure yourself from the rebound,” he assured Amy. “I wouldn’t recommend it though. They’d most likely think it was a new game and return the favour.”
