A/N: Double drabble.
The Charger wasn’t exactly suited to having a bicycle carrier fitted on the back, but if he and Ryo were going to take their bicycles with them, it would have to be done. Somehow. Dee didn’t want to damage his car, it was his pride and joy, but he and his lover could hardly cycle out of the city and all the way to New England. They wouldn’t even get there before their vacation ended.
“What’re you doing?” Ryo asked, bemused.
“Tryin’ to figure out how to fix this damned contraption onto my car.” That was only the first part of the problem. Once he’d done that, he’d have to work out how to fix the bikes to the carrier so they wouldn’t fall off. “Not like we can cycle all the way.”
Ryo snickered.
“What?” Dee turned an indignant glare on his lover. “What’s so funny?”
“We don’t need to take our bikes with us.”
“Why not? Hard to take a cyclin’ vacation without bikes.”
“There’s a rental place near the hotel. We can hire bikes from there, save hauling ours down the interstate.”
“NOW you tell me!”
“Sorry. I thought you would have figured that out for yourself.”
