Next time someone invited her to a party, Buffy was just gonna say no. She’d thought she deserved it, one night off from patrolling, from slaying, a party where there were boys who might actually be interested in her instead of finding endless excuses not to spend time with her. And okay, the whole college boys thing might have been aiming a bit high, or low in the end, considering what creeps they turned out to be, but…
 

It had all ended up in a big mess. Drugged drinks, waking up in chains, secret cults making sacrifices to snake demons in the fraternity basement, really not the party vibe Buffy had been looking for. She’d thought fruit punch, dancing, maybe a bit of making out, possibly conversation, although that was optional. Instead, her night off from Slaying had ended with killing her biggest demon yet. Go figure.

 
Maybe that was what she deserved for sneaking out to have fun instead of being a responsible Slayer. And it was kinda nice the way everyone had come to her rescue, even Angel, getting all growly and protective, so it wasn’t all bad, but…

 
Why did it look like Xander was wearing lipstick?
