“Look, it’s simple,” the Doctor insisted. “All we have to do is go after the thieves and retrieve what they stole.”
“What makes you think the thieves will be willing to give up their prize?” Martha asked.
“I’ll just explain that it doesn’t belong to them, and I need it back. I’m sure they’ll see reason.”
“They’re thieves, Doctor. Taking things that don’t belong to them is what they do.”
“But it’s my sonic screwdriver, I made it, and they can’t have it!”
“If you want it back, you might have to just sneak into their camp and take it.”
