Summary: The Doctor takes Martha somewhere beautiful.
Disclaimer: I don’t own Doctor Who, or the characters.
Martha gasped in wonder; she’d never seen a more spectacular floral display. Spring on earth was nothing compared to this. Even Japan’s famed Cherry Blossom festivals would pale to insignificance if placed alongside the dazzling spectacle before her.
“Do you like it?”
“It’s incredible!”
It was like a living rainbow fallen to earth; every tree as far as the eye could see was smothered in blossom, up to a dozen different colours gracing each one as equally dazzling insects, like enormous butterflies, fluttered from flower to flower, pollinating them. Delightful fragrances filled the air.
The Doctor beamed. “Happy Birthday, Martha.”
