Summary: The bridge of the Happy Wanderer is nothing like Ianto expected.

A/N: Double drabble.
 


 

The bridge of the Happy Wanderer was a lot smaller than the equivalent on most of the TV science fiction shows and movies Ianto had watched growing up. It was also not as tidy or clean as the ones built as film sets. It looked lived in, with bits and pieces tucked into odd corners, and dirt on the floor from Jack’s boots. There were clips and magnets holding random objects in place so they wouldn’t float around if the artificial gravity was turned off, and sweet wrappers crammed down the sides of the pilot’s seat, a few spilling onto the floor beneath.
 

Ianto frowned at the messiness. “You’re a slob, Jack!”

 
“Look, I’m sorry the place is a bit of a mess, but I’ve had other things than cleaning on my mind for the past few years, such as finding a way to get you back. I’ll tidy up, I swear. Let’s just get away from earth first, okay?”
 

“Alright, but I can do the cleaning.”
 

“I didn’t go to all this trouble so you could be the cleaner!”
 

“I know, but it’ll give me something to do.”

 
Everywhere Ianto looked were pictures of him, so Jack wouldn’t forget.

Hopefully once Ianto gets it cleaned up, Jack will help clean the ship clean. Not that I'd hold my breath...

It's a very big ship, about the size of the Millennium Centre, but they'll keep the bridge and their quarters clean. They probably have some kind of automatic cleaning system for other areas.

Aw, poor Jack. He can be forgiven for not keeping things tidy, just so long as the rubbish didn't obscure any of his pictures of Ianto.
