“I don’t know why you’re mad at me!” Ianto snapped at his lover. “In no way was this my fault; I wasn’t even there! Unless, of course, you’re blaming me for NOT being there to keep you from doing something monumentally stupid, which also makes it not my fault, because you told me you didn’t NEED my help!”
There was no reply from Jack, although Ianto hadn’t been expecting one. In his current state, Jack wasn’t exactly capable of replying. Still, he didn’t need the ability to speak to make his feelings clear. His furious glare got the point across well enough. So did the increasingly annoyed… gestures, if the flapping of various odd appendages could be called that. They weren’t much more than small leaves, or flippers, something of that description, but there were a couple of dozen of them, in a ring around what might be described as Jack’s neck.
“It would help if we knew exactly WHAT you are now, but we can’t have everything.” Ianto’s research had drawn a blank. “Still, I’m sure Tosh will figure out how to undo what you’ve done. For now, you’ll just have to wait patiently. Nothing else you CAN do.”
The End
